How to turn one top post into a week of content ideas

Copying a post rarely works, and it isn’t a good look. Working out why it landed gives you something you can use over and over.

Name the idea underneath

Say a skincare creator’s top Reel is “three products I stopped buying”. The topic is skincare, but the idea underneath is an honest list of things to skip. That idea works for almost any niche.

Write yours as one plain sentence, leaving out the creator’s specifics.

Make five versions

Using that one idea, try:

  1. Your own experience: what you stopped doing, and why
  2. A beginner’s version: the mistake everyone makes in their first year
  3. The opposite: the one thing you’d never give up
  4. A how-to: what to do instead, step by step
  5. A question: ask your audience what they’d add

Change the format

Turn the how-to into a carousel, the personal story into a talking-to-camera Reel and the question into a Story sticker. One idea can now fill most of a week without feeling repetitive.

Keep your own proof in it

Use your own examples, photos and opinions. If a post would make sense with someone else’s name on it, keep working on it.
